Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. pork sausage
  • 2/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/3 c. chopped fresh mushrooms
  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can Chunky Tomatoes Pasta Style
  • 1 (15 oz.) can Pizza Sauce, flavored with Pepperoni
  • 2 c. water
  • 1/3 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 c. sliced ripe olives, optional
  • 6 to 8 oz. Rigatoni pasta, cooked and drained
  • Parmesan (best if freshly grated)

Directions

    Combine sausage, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms in large skillet.

    Cook until sausage is fully cooked.

    Drain any excess grease.

    Add tomatoes, pizza sauce, and water.

    Cook over low heat for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in cheese, olives and cooked pasta.

    Continue to cook over low heat until cheese melts. When serving, top with a sprinkling of Parmesan.
