- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
- 2/3 c. water
- 1 c. Mozzarella, shredded
- 4 oz. sliced pepperoni
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, undrained (stems and pieces)
- 1/2 Tbsp. oregano
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. vermicelli
- salt to taste
- 1/4 c. melted margarine
Directions

1Combine cheeses and set aside.

2Combine and cook ground beef, salt and onions until tender. Add pepperoni. Stir in tomato paste, water, mushrooms and oregano. Cook vermicelli; drain. Combine vermicelli and margarine. Toss well.

3Add to meat sauce. Reserve 1 cup of cheese mixture.

4Combine rest of cheese with meat mixture. Spoon into greased 2 1/2-quart casserole or long dish.

5Sprinkle with reserved cheese and top with pepperoni. Bake at 350° for 20 to 30 minutes.
