- 4 firm ripe pears
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 a lemon)
- 14 cup butter, melted
- 14 cup large grain sugar
- cinnamon
- ice cream (optional)
Directions

1Soak clean, food quality wooden planks (cedar or white oak) in water for at least a few hours, a full day is best.

2Cut pears in half and scoop out centres.

3Place pears on soaked planks.

4Brush pears with butter.

5Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

6Place the planks and pears on the barbecue.

7Use high heat directly under the planks.

8Once the planks start to smoke you can turn the barbecue down a bit so the pears don't char.

9There should be lots of smoke in your backyard!

10Once the pears are soft and smokey, about 30 minutes depending on your grill, take them off the grill.

11Serve with some ice cream!
