Poached Peaches In White Wine

  • 2 cups white wine I purchased the Sutterhome Muscato from Walmart for $5
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 peaches doughnut, make sure they are firm when you purchase them, soft ones will turn into mush after poaching.
  • 1 cinnamon sticks

    1. Combine water, wine, and sugar in a sauce pan and bring to a simmer.

    2. Wash doughnut peaches and add them in. Allow 15-20 minutes, usually when the skins start to unstick themselves form the fruit is a good time to take them out).

    3. Take peaches out of liquid and allow to cool, then peel off skin.
