- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 sticks margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. canned evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. water
- 5 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp. vanilla butternut flavoring
- 1 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
- 1 c. pecans, chopped
Directions

1Do not preheat oven.

2Cream margarine, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time.

3Mix in flour, salt, milk and water. Fold in flavoring, cherries and pecans.

4Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 45 minutes, or until done.
