- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 10 oz. jar maraschino cherries, chopped
Directions

1Cream sugar and shortening.

2Add eggs, 1 at a time.

3Add butternut vanilla, salt and milk alternately with flour.

4Finally add cherries and nuts.

5Start in cold oven.

6Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 45 minutes in greased and floured pan.
