- 12 cabbage leaves
- 1 lb. ground chuck
- 1/2 c. raw rice, wash and drain
- 1 small onion, chopped fine
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. poultry season or oregano
- 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 c. water
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 can tomato soup
Directions

1Cover cabbage leaves with cool water, and let stand 5 minutes until limp.

2Drain.

3Combine first ingredients.

4Place equal portions of meat in center of leaves.

5Fasten sides after folding over and secure with toothpicks.

6Place in large pan and combine sauce mixture and taste.

7May need more brown sugar.

8Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

9Baste occasionally.

10Makes 5 servings.
