  • 1 to 1 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 diced bell pepper
  • 1/2 diced onion
  • 2 small cans tomato sauce
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. uncooked long grain rice

Directions

    Saute pepper and onion until tender.

    Add beef; cook.

    Add tomato sauce and chili powder.

    (Needs to be extra spicy; rice will absorb hot taste.)

    Add rice and 1 to 1 1/2 cups water. Stir.

    Cover and cook for 20 minutes over low heat.

    Stir occasionally.
