  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. white corn syrup
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon or strawberry extract
  • food coloring

Directions

    Discard all imperfect kernels and put the popped corn into a large pan.

    Cook sugar, salt, vanilla, syrup and water to the medium crack stage (280°), stirring constantly.*
  3. 3
    Add food coloring; stir again and pour over popcorn (careful, it's hot). While pouring over popcorn, mix and move popcorn around carefully to cover each kernel.
