- 1 c. milk
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. flour
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 small jar poppy seed filling
Directions

1Scald milk; cool 1/4 c. to lukewarm; add yeast and 1 tsp. sugar and let stand in warm place to rise for 30 minutes.

2To remainder of milk, add butter, sugar and salt.

3Keep lukewarm.

4Add egg yolk and beat well.

5Stir in yeast and half of flour; beat well.

6Add rest of flour and knead until smooth and elastic.

7Cover and let rise until double.

8Roll and spread with poppy seed filling.

9Let rise until double.

10Bake at 325° for 20 minutes.
