- 1 lb. ground lean beef
- 1/2 c. raw rice
- 1 tsp. minced onion
- 2 tsp. finely chopped green pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. celery salt
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped or dash of garlic powder
- 2 c. tomato juice
- 4 whole cloves
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
Directions

1Combine first 7 ingredients and form into balls 1 1/2 inches in diameter; set aside.

2Combine tomato juice, cloves, sugar

3and Worcestershire sauce in a heavy skillet.

4Bring to a simmer.

5Drop in the meatballs.

6Cover tightly and simmer 50 minutes or place in a baking dish and bake 1 hour at 350°.
