- 2 onions
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 4 thick pork chops (about 1 3/4 lb.)
- 1/2 c. beer
- salt and pepper
- 3/4 tsp. dried marjoram
Directions

1Slice onions.

2Heat oil in frying pan over medium-high heat. Add chops and cook them until well browned, about 5 minutes per side.

3Remove chops.

4Reduce heat to low.

5Add onions to pan drippings.

6Cover and cook until the onions soften, about 10 minutes.

7Add beer, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, marjoram and pork chops.

8Cover and cook about 1 hour until chops are tender.

9Remove chops and keep warm.

10Raise heat to high. Bring pan juices to a boil and continue boiling until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

11Spoon onions and sauce over chops and serve.
