Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. pot roast
- salt and pepper
- 8 oz. bottle French dressing
- 1/2 c. water
- 8 small onions
- 4 medium carrots, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 4 potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Season meat with salt and pepper.

2Brown in 1/4 cup dressing in Dutch oven over low heat.

3Add remaining dressing and water. Cover; simmer 2 hours.

4Add onions, carrots and potatoes.

5Cover. Continue simmer 1 hour or until meat and vegetables are tender. Remove meat and vegetables to platter.

6Gradually add water and flour, stirring until well blended.

7Gradually add flour mixture to hot liquid in pan.

8Cook, stirring occasionally, until mixture boils and thickens.

9Simmer 3 minutes, stirring constantly.

10Serve with meat and vegetables.

11Makes 6 to 8 servings.
