- 5 potatoes (large), boiled in their jackets and cooled completely
- 1/2 lb. Monterey Jack cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 1 quarter oleo
- 3 medium green onions (1/2 c.), sliced thin
- bacon, crumbled
- 8 oz. sour cream
Directions

1Put cheese, half and half and oleo in a saucepan and melt into a smooth sauce, stirring constantly.

2Grate the potatoes and stir in sauce, mixing thoroughly.

3Put in a 13 x 9-inch casserole, packing firmly.

4Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

5Spread sour cream on top and spread onions evenly over the top. Fry and crumble bacon on top of the green onions.

6Put back in the oven and bake 5 minutes longer or more.
