- 1/4 c. onion
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. flour
- 2 1/2 c. milk
- 5 large potatoes, sliced with skins
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3/4 c. shredded American cheese
Directions

1Saute onion in butter.

2Cool slightly; stir in flour.

3Add milk a little at a time.

4Stir to mix well.

5Pour over potatoes.

6Add salt and pepper, then cheese.

7Cover with lid or foil.

8Bake at 325° for 45 minutes.

9Uncover and continue to bake for 30 minutes.
