  • 3 (10 oz.) pkg. shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 can creamed chicken soup mix
  • 1/3 c. milk
  • 1 1/3 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. crushed corn flakes

Directions

    Brown the chopped onion with the 1/2 stick of margarine.

    Add chicken soup and milk, mixed together.

    Add grated Cheddar cheese; add salt.

    Combine this mixture with the hash brown potatoes; stir together.

    Put in 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Sprinkle crushed corn flakes stirred in melted butter on top.

    Bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
