Potato Frank Chowder

  • 2 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 3 c. Southern style hash brown potatoes
  • 1/2 lb. wieners
  • 1/3 c. chopped onion
  • 1/3 c. chopped celery
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/4 c. cream of celery soup
  • 1 c. undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. dill weed

Directions

    Pour boiling water over hash brown potatoes.

    In medium bowl, let stand 10 minutes.

    Slice wieners.

    Saute with onion and celery in butter in large saucepan until vegetables are tender.

    Stir in celery soup, evaporated milk, salt, dill weed, potatoes and water. Heat to boiling; reduce heat and boil gently.
