  • 1 (2 lb.) bag frozen hash brown potatoes (not patties)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1 stick margarine, melted
  • 8 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper as desired
  • 1 carton (1 lb.) sour cream

    Thaw potatoes for 30 minutes; mix all ingredients in large bowl.

    Put in 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

    Bake at 375° for 45 minutes to 1 hour, uncovered.
