- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 2/3 c. Crisco
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. mashed potatoes, cooked in salt water
- 1 c. scalded milk
- 2 eggs
- 6 1/2 c. plain flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Set aside.

2Mix Crisco, sugar, salt and eggs together in a large bowl.

3Add mashed potatoes and blend well. Add cooled down milk.

4Next, add yeast mixture. Add flour, two cups at a time, mixing well after each addition.

5Put in refrigerator in covered bowl.

6Let set overnight.
