Potato Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 c. instant potatoes
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. salt
  • 10 c. flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 2 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar

Directions

    Put sugar, milk, butter and salt in saucepan.

    Simmer.

    Remove from heat and add mashed potatoes.
  4. 4
    When cool, add eggs and yeast, which has been dissolved in 1/2 cup lukewarm water and 1 tablespoon of sugar.

    Add 3 cups of flour and beat with mixer.

    Then add remaining flour and put into greased bowl.

    Let rise until double. Make into desired rolls.

    Let rise again.

    Bake at 350° until done and brown, about 30 to 35 minutes.

    You can also use this dough to make cinnamon rolls or coffee cake.
