Ingredients
- 5 to 6 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 5 c. water
- 2 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. ham, diced (optional)
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 2 c. milk
Directions

1In a large stockpot or Dutch oven, combine potatoes, water, bouillon cubes and onion.

2Bring to a boil.

3Cover; reduce heat and simmer 20 to 30 minutes until potatoes are very tender. Remove from heat.

4Do not drain.

5Mash potato mixture.

6Add ham, butter and milk, blending well.

7Return to heat and cook over low heat until heated through.

8Makes 8 servings.
