  • 4 to 5 potatoes, cubed
  • 1 medium diced onion
  • 4 stalks celery, diced
  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Heat water in soup kettle.

    Add potatoes, onion and celery. Cook 1/2 to 1 hour, then mash a few times.

    Beat egg, salt and water together in small bowl.
  4. 4
    Slowly add flour.
  5. 5
    Mixture will be gooey.

    Drop by teaspoon into boiling soup mixture.

    The dough will drop to bottom of kettle, then rise to the top.
