Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hash browns (frozen)
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • corn flakes or chips
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. melted margarine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Thaw potatoes for 30 minutes.

    Mix other ingredients, except corn flakes or chips.

    Bake for 1 hour at 375° in an 8 x 13-inch pan.

    When almost done, sprinkle with flakes or chips.

    Return to oven until browned.

    Makes 12 to 15 servings.
