- 1 lb. butter
- 1 lb. confectioners sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sifted flour
Directions

1Have butter and eggs at room temperature.

2Cream butter well. Beat in sugar until light and fluffy.

3Beat in eggs, one at a time.

4Add vanilla and gradually add flour.

5Mix to a silken consistency.

6Pour into well-greased 9 or 10-inch tube pan.

7Bake in 325° oven for one hour or until cake springs back. Cool in pan for 10 minutes.

8Cool completely on rack.
