- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3/4 tsp. almond extract
- 4 eggs
Directions

1Cream margarine, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix flour and soda.

2Add eggs, one at a time, to cream mixture. Beat well after each.

3Add flavorings.

4Beat.

5Alternate buttermilk and flour mixture.

6Put into greased and floured cake pan or 2 loaf pans.

7Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

8Cool 10 minutes before removing from pan.
