- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 lb. butter
Directions

1Cream the shortening, adding the powdered sugar and beating until smooth.

2Then add the eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth after the addition of each egg.

3Add the vanilla and flour, making sure that the mixture is completely smooth when finished. Bake in an angel food cake pan or small loaf pan (lightly greased) on the lowest rack of your oven at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

4Cool on a wire rack.

5Cake can be frozen easily.
