Ingredients

  • 3 c. all-purpose flour, do not sift
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine (Mrs. Filbert's)
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • small amount of vanilla

Directions

    Cream together the margarine, Crisco and sugar.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each one is added. Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour. Bake in tube pan at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Let cool thoroughly before removing from pan.
