  • 1/2 c. soft oleo
  • 1 3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 2 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. soda

Directions

    Cream butter and shortening; add powdered sugar and cream mixture.

    Add egg, vanilla and almond extract.

    Beat. Sift and add flour, soda and cream of tartar.

    Mix.

    Stir in nuts.

    Drop on ungreased baking sheet.

    Bake 10 minutes at 400°.

    While still hot, roll cookies in powdered sugar.
