- 5 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- graham cracker crust
- 1 c. chopped pecans
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
Directions

1Saute pecans in margarine; drain on paper towels.

2Beat cream cheese at high speed of electric mixer until light and fluffy; gradually add sugar, beating well.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Fold in pecans.

6Pour into crust.

7Bake at 350° for 45 minutes; turn oven off and partially open oven door.

8Leave cheesecake in oven for 30 minutes.

9Remove from oven; let cool on a wire rack in a draft-free area.

10Cover cheesecake and chill at least 8 hours. Garnish with toasted pecan halves, if desired.
