- 3/4 c. cream or evaporated milk
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 c. white sugar
- 3 Tbsp. oleo
- 2 1/2 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Combine in heavy pot the cream, water, sugar and oleo.

2Cook over medium heat, stirring fairly constantly.

3When caramelized brown spots begin to appear, continue stirring.

4Drop small amount in cup of water.

5When this makes a ringing sound against side of metal cup, the pralines are ready.

6Quickly add vanilla and pecans and quickly drop by spoonfuls on wax paper.

7(If it hardens too quickly, return pot to stove, add a little water and heat again until ready.)

8Allow pralines to cool before removing from the wax paper.
