- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/8 c. warm water (105~)
- 1 1/3 c. warm water
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 5 c. flour
Directions

1Dissolve yeast in 1/8 cup warm water.

2Stir in 1 1/3 cups warm water, brown sugar and flour.

3Beat until smooth.

4Knead until smooth and elastic.

5Heat oven to 475°.

6Place twisted pretzel on cookie sheet.

7Brush beaten egg on top of pretzel, then sprinkle pretzel salt on top.

8Place cookie sheet in oven.

9Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until pretzel is pale golden brown or until done.
