  • rib roast or good quality sirloin tip roast (3 to 3 1/2 lb.)
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt

    Mix seasonings.

    Rub well into meat.

    Place meat in roasting pan with no cover.

    Do not add water.

    For well done, bake at 200° for

    6 1/2 hours.

    For well done on outside and rare inside, bake at 175° for first 3 1/2 hours, then raise to 200° for balance of time.

    Meat does not shrink.

    Leftover roast wrapped in foil and reheated at 200° will taste just as good.

    Slice thin for sandwiches.
