- 1 c. white Karo syrup
- 2 c. raw Spanish peanuts
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Have everything ready before starting to cook.

2Combine syrup and sugar in a large, heavy skillet.

3Just before the mixture begins to boil, add nuts.

4Stir well with a wooden spoon until it is amber colored, about 30 minutes.

5Then add butter.

6After a few stirs, add soda and stir rapidly.

7Spread quickly in a 10 x 13-inch buttered pan.
