  • 2 jars baby food prunes
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 c. chopped walnuts
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice

Directions

    Combine oil, sugar and eggs; beat well.

    Sift all dry ingredients together.

    Fold into oil mixture alternately with buttermilk.

    Add prunes, nuts and vanilla.

    Bake in a greased 9 x 12-inch pan or greased tube pan at 350° until done.
