  • 3 eggs
  • 1 c. Wesson oil
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 c. prunes, cooked, seeded and cut up
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans

Directions

    Blend sugar and Wesson oil.

    Add eggs, milk and dry ingredients alternately.

    Add vanilla, nuts and prunes.

    Bake in an ungreased pan at 300° for 1 hour.

    Leave in pan.

    While hot, pour on icing, without beating the icing.
