- 1 c. oil
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 2 c. flour, sifted
- 1 c. chopped cooked prunes
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
Directions

1Place oil and sugar in a large mixing bowl.

2Beat well; add eggs and beat until creamy.

3Sift flour three times with soda, salt and spices, then add to mixture alternating with buttermilk and vanilla.

4Stir in chopped prunes and nuts.

5Pour into a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan.

6Bake at 325° for 45 minutes. Let cake cool before icing.
