- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. cooked mashed prunes
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. grated orange rind
- 1 tsp. soda
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar; add eggs. Beat thoroughly. Add prunes and mix well. Add soda to buttermilk. Add flour and milk alternately. Bake in a well-greased, floured tube pan at 350° for 45 minutes. While cake is still hot in pan, pour mixture of juice of 2 oranges, 2 teaspoons grated orange rind and 2 cups confectioners sugar over the cake and let stand until cake has absorbed it. This cake stays moist for days.
