- 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 1 stick Cinnamon stick
- 2 tablespoons Cumin seeds
- 1 Onion, chopped
- 3 tablespoons Ginger, shredded
- 3 cloves Garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tomato, chopped
- 3 tablespoons Goram masala
- 1 tablespoons Chili powder
- 2 cups Basmati rice
- 3 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Carrots, peas optional
Directions

1Fry in vegetable oil: cinnamon stick, cumin seeds, onion, ginger, garlic, salt.

2Cook until onion is translucent. Add chopped tomato.

3Let cook for 2-3 minutes. Add goram masala, to taste.

4Add chili powder and cook 3 minutes.

5Put rice and water in rice cooker. Add above pan of ingredients and stir. Can add chopped carrots and peas. Let cook until done.
