Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2/3 c. butter or margarine
- 2 2/3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
- 2/3 c. water
- 2/3 c. chopped nuts
- 2/3 c. raisins
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease 2 (9 x 5 x 3-inch) loaf pans.

3Blend flour, baking soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and baking powder.

4Set aside.

5In a large mixer bowl, cream butter or margarine with sugar until light and fluffy.

6Stir in eggs, pumpkin and water.

7Mix well.

8Blend in dry ingredients until mixture is smooth.

9Stir in nuts and raisins.

10Divide batter evenly between the two prepared pans.

11Bake for 65 to 75 minutes or until tests done.

12Cool in pans for 10 to 15 minutes.

13Remove from pans.

14Cool on wire racks.
