  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ginger, ground
  • 1 1/2 c. undiluted evaporated milk (12 fluid oz. can)
  • 1 3/4 c. pumpkin (16 oz. can, solid pack)
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon, ground
  • 1/4 tsp. cloves, ground
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust with high fluted edge

Directions

    Preheat oven to 425°.

    Combine ingredients in order given. Pour into pie shell; bake 15 minutes.

    Reduce temperature to 350°. Bake 45 minutes more or until knife inserted near center comes out clean.

    Cool and top with whipped cream.
