- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/8 tsp. apple pie spice
- 2 c. canned or cooked mashed pumpkin
Directions

1Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer about 2 minutes or until soft and creamy.

2Gradually add sugar, beating at medium speed, 5 to 7 minutes.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.

4Combine flour and next 6 ingredients.

5Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with pumpkin mixture, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Mix at lowest speed just until blended after each addition.

6Pour batter into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

7Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 25 to 30 minutes.
