  • 1 pkg. spice cake mix
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. Crisco
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 can pumpkin pie filling
  • 2 c. whipped topping
  • pecans

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    Combine dry cake mix, oil, salt and baking soda.

    Mixture will be crumbly.

    Press evenly in ungreased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes or until crust is browned at edges.

    Meanwhile, prepare pie filling recipe as directed on can.

    Pour over hot baked crust.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until center is firm.

    Cool.
