- 2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 cups almond milk
- 15 ounces pumpkin puree
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup chopped almonds optional
- 1/3 cup dried cranberries optional
Directions

1Preheat waffle iron

2Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and spices.

3In a separate bowl, vigorously whisk together the almond milk, pumpkin, oil, brown sugar, and vanilla until emulsified.

4Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and mix.

5Prepare waffles according to waffle maker's instructions. If adding almonds and/or cranberries, sprinkle on top of poured batter before closing waffle maker.
