- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 (28 oz.) cans Italian plum tomatoes (whole)
- 1 (16 oz.) can pitted whole black olives, drained
- 4 Tbsp. capers, drained
- 6 fresh basil leaves, chopped
- pinch of red pepper flakes
Directions

1Saute garlic in the oil until soft and golden brown.

2Add the tomatoes; simmer for 10 minutes.

3Add olives, capers, basil and red pepper.

4Simmer in uncovered pot for 20 minutes, stirring it gently, until sauce has thickened.
