Ingredients

  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 (1 lb.) can fruit cocktail with syrup
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • 1/2 c. coconut

Directions

    Blend egg, salt and sugar together.

    Sift flour with baking soda.

    Add to egg mixture.

    Add can of fruit cocktail with syrup. Pour in greased 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Mix the remaining ingredients and sprinkle on top of batter.

    Bake in a 300° oven for 1 hour. Cool; cut into squares.

    Serve with whipped cream.
