  • 2 (6-inch) pie crusts, chilled
  • 1 Tbsp. soft butter
  • 12 slices bacon
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. evaporated milk (14 oz. can)
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • pinch of nutmeg, sugar and pepper
  • 1 c. grated cheese

Directions

    Rub butter over surface of unbaked pie shell.

    Fry bacon crisp and crumble.

    Combine eggs, cheese, milk, salt, nutmeg and sugar; mix well.

    Sprinkle shell with bacon and pierce shell.

    Pour in mixture.

    Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or at 300° for 40 minutes.
