- 1 unbaked (9-inch) pie crust (deep dish)
- 8 oz. natural Swiss cheese, chilled
- 8 slices cooked bacon
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. milk
- 1 tsp. chives or parsley
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- nutmeg
Directions

1Preheat oven to 400°. Warm pie crust in oven about 10 minutes while the oven heats.

2Shred cheese and place in mixing bowl. Crumble bacon into bits and add to bowl.

3Whip eggs with fork and add to mixture.

4Add milk, chives, salt and pepper to cheese mixture.

5Stir to mix thoroughly.

6Pour into crust.

7Sprinkle surface with nutmeg.

8Bake until knife inserted in center comes out clean, 30 to 35 minutes.

9Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Makes one (9-inch) pie.
