- 1/2 c. butter or margarine
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 3/4 c. buttermilk
- butter or margarine, melted
Directions

1Cut 1/2 cup butter into flour with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

2Add buttermilk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

3Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly 3 or 4 times.

4Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness.

5Cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter.

6Place on a lightly greased baking sheet.

7Bake at 425° for 13 to 15 minutes.

8Brush with melted butter.
