Quick Buttermilk Rolls

- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. lukewarm water
- 3 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. corn oil
- 3 Tbsp. margarine, melted
Directions

1Place yeast, water and 1 tablespoon sugar in a large bowl; set aside.

2Sift together flour, salt and soda.

3Heat buttermilk on low heat until lukewarm.

4Combine with yeast mixture.

5Add remaining sugar and corn oil; mix well.

6Add flour mixture, 2 cups at a time; blend.

7Let stand for 10 minutes; knead 5 minutes. Form into rolls; place on greased pans.

8Brush tops with melted margarine.

9Let rise 30 minutes.
-
10Bake at 400° for 8 to 10 minutes.

11Yield: 2 to 3 dozen.
