- 4 (1 ounce) unsweetened chocolate squares
- 12 cup water
- 12 sugar
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 14 cups sugar
- 12 cup butter, soft or 12 cup margarine
- 34 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 eggs
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350.

2Fit wax paper in bottoms of two 9-inch layer pans.

3Place unsweetened chocolate, water and sugar in saucepan.

4Cook and stir (low heat) to form a smooth sauce.

5Set aside and cool.

6Place in large mixing bowl and blend on low speed, flour, baking soda, salt and sugar.

7Add butter and milk.

8Blend to moisten flour and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

9Blend in chocolate mixture.

10Add vanilla and eggs.

11Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.

12Pour into pans.

13Bake 30-35 minutes.

14Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans and peel off waxed paper.
